Gun control

This is ICW the gun control debate in Colorado in 2012 and 2013.

It is impossible for me to fathom how anyone can justify the suggestion, that allowing current owners of certain guns and attachments, is OK to own until they die, but anyone not yet born, and those who are not current owners can never own these items. This idea is SO absolutely hypocritical, absurd, dishonest, and deceitful that there can be no doubt about the true intentions of the cowards that lobbied for, sponsored, and voted for these despicable proposals. I do not use the word “cowards” accidentally or lightly! What these cowards are actually saying is “We will not fight for ourselves, our families, our property, or our country! We are ready, willing and able to let others do our fighting for us! If someone wants to enslave us, go right ahead, we are willing to grovel at your feet!”. Well, the fact of the matter is, there have been only two times in our history that the United States of America has been closer to extinction than right now! First was the American revolution, second was the Civil War.

There exists a group of bankers, financiers, business men that are all about establishing the thing loosely known as “ The New World Order”. They have elected themselves as the ruling Oligarchy in charge of the worlds economy, and international trade. They choose who sits on the bench of the “NAFTA Court” which, in matters of international trade, their decisions override our Supreme Court! Who decided that?

The financial construct we find ourselves stuck with now was put in place over the past thirty or so years. The final charge was led by Dick Cheney, and Carl Rove when they invaded the George W. Bush Presidency. This Oligarchy includes both Americans and Europeans and probably others. These people own or control something over 95% of the wealth and businesses in the U.S.A. and European Union countries. We all found out how helpless our situation was starting in October, 2007 thru February 2008, at the end of the Bush-Cheney-Rove presidency, when 100,000 to 300,000 businesses, per month, closed their doors and moved en-mass out of America. Actually, the first hint of our dire situation came in 2001 when the Bush Administration opened our southern border and invited illegal immigrants to flood across the border to take jobs away from American Workers. Twelve years later we are still struggling with that boondoggle.

If “We The People “ lie down now and surrender our “Arms” We will be surrendering Our Country, Our Freedom, and saying to the World and all who have fought and died for this Country : “WE DON’T CARE”!

WELL ! I DO CARE! WE THE PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP!

AND EACH OF US MUST DO SOMETHING !

RE: Gun regulations – responsibility

Gun regulations are being touted as “common sense laws for the good of the public”. Why then, are legal citizen gun owners being required to pay for the Constitutionally protected “God given right to own a gun”?! This injustice added to the absolute fact that a vast majority of gun owners have served in the military and a vast majority of anti-gun zealots have not served their country in any way makes this injustice virtually criminal! This is unAmerican! But the whole controversy isn’t about American Values or what it means to be a “Good Citizen”! The Anti-gun, and for that matter, the anti-Police campaigns, are about basically, one group of people, promoting their personal agendas over the greater good of society! To some, this may sound like a perfectly ridiculous assertion. I assure you, it is not. Why not? Let us look at some facts! One: Many of the justifications the anti groups use are massaged “facts” that if looked at in full daylight tell a different story. Like comparing gun violence in America to China, whose Citizens do not own guns, and not telling about the terrible problem China has with knife stabbings at schools and public places (more common than mass shootings in America and just as many if not more victims per attack!)! Two: For decades, refusing to seriously attack the other causes of violence to promote the anti-gun campaign! (GASP! You can’t believe I just said That! Remember the Tobacco Lobby?) How else can we explain the lack of, and even the resistance to, meaningful mental health programs, social and economic programs addressing violence. Even the criminal justice system virtually promotes lawlessness.

Ruben tells several truths and covers individual reporters issues fairly well but does not include any mention of the guidelines, restrictions, or requirements placed on them by the owners, editors,or other sources of influence over the writers subject matter. For instance, the Denver Post is obviously anti-Second Amendment. Anti-gun pieces are headlined – Pro-gun items are buried toward the back of the paper or toward the end of the article and given much less space. When CNN covers a white officer shooting a criminal, the victim is virtually always black. Other colors of people also get shot but do not get coverage. Also true is that CNN and most print media covering police shootings give about ten times more coverage to the black victim than to the police point of view, and always put the police in a bad light. For instance, Michael Brown was/is a criminal. You would not know it by the reporting of CNN!

RE: Another Shooting, Minnesota this time : It is time for truth!

Another shooting, another round of calls for gun control! I can see it so clearly. Why can’t everyone else? Our society is sick! The problem is not with guns or bombs or poison gas. The problem is with society as a whole! Greed, intolerance, religious dogma, special interest tunnel vision, “it;s my way or the highway”, wealth inequity, underemployment, loss of respect for each other, loss of our moral compass, egomaniacs obsession with power and control just for starters.

What’s the underlying cause? Mental Health! Moral Health! Do we, as a country, do anything about this? No! We lack programs focused on truly helping those in need. We portray EVERY twisted individual as mentally ill when the true problem is Moral Illness. This confuses the issue ultimately taking help, funding and hope away from our society. Move money and energy from gun control to all the above and pray!

When are those who preach anti 2nd Amendment – anti gun slogans going to take mass killings seriously enough to drop or at least slow down on that rhetoric and address the true causes of the social and political sickness that pervade this country? How many must be sacrificed before ALL the causes of societies ills be studied and corrected? Ask yourself this! “Not counting mass killings; Who or what entity would benefit from America being a ‘gun free zone?’ ?”

Everyone talks about protecting self and family as reasons to own a gun. Left out of the conversation is possibly the most important reason! That being protecting our Nation by being armed and ready to serve in a militia! No-one takes this seriously! Look around – Congress is broken, the Supreme Court is broken, The Presidency is broken. The Military is controlled by???

RE: Black & Blue lives MATTER! All American lives MATTER!

Considering the state of our Union, the hate, distrust, confusion, anger, ETC in our society we need to step back and review who we are and what our goals are! A good place to start might be to watch a couple of movies. I recommend “The Green Mile”, “Peyton Place”, “Return to Peyton Place” and “Imitation of Life”. These movies deal with many of the problems we are faced with today. I am sure there are also other more current movies that would be appropriate. I am confident our Nation can come together and win this war together. We need CNN and other news outlets to stop pushing gun control as their #1 priority and give balanced news reports.

Anti-gun enthusiasts like to say that the Second Amendment does not guarantee the right of citizens to own a gun for personal protection or for that matter any other reason. I would like them to explain what the words “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”.

You are dead wrong on your attack on “assault weapons”! The 2nd Amendment was put in place for a specific reason. Just because our government can’t govern and our society is sick doesn’t lessen the importance of the Second Amendment – the 2nd article on the Bill of Rights. The saddest thing about all this rhetoric is that the vast majority of those calling for the removal of the 2nd Amendment (and everyone knows that IS your true goal) have not served in the Military and are conniving to guarantee that none of their children will ever serve in the military!!!!!!!!

Timothy McVeigh was a little bit of a hero in that his actions changed the course of our Nation. The Justice department had been getting more and more militaristic in dealing with radicals, such as the Minute Men. Reference the Waco Massacre compared to the Idaho and other groups after Oklahoma City. Somewhat related are what happened to Charlie Hebdo in France. They thumbed their noses at the Muslim Radicals – and paid a price for their insolence and bullying “prank”. When you stand in front of a mad bull in your cement shoes and wave a red flag, there are likely be consequences!? The “gay” rights marches, parades, ETC whether right or wrong are likely to have “unintended” Consequences. Just as Margret Thatcher, ETAL, thumbed their noses at Great Britons lower and middle class citizens – There have been consequences!?

When one goes out into the world looking for war, one will most likely find war! If one goes out into the world looking for Peace, one may find war, but at least Peace was given first option, and one will find peace large percentage of the time.
